Cirkelstad is an initiative of some market players who want to develop construction projects sustainably under the slogan ‘no waste, no waste’. In practice, this means that on construction projects we want to prevent waste or at least keep it to a minimum. In addition, all partners in Cirkelstad try to employ people with a distance to the labour market. This initiative once started in Rotterdam and now there are Circle Cities throughout the country. The New Builders is a network of companies working according to the three core values of Co-creation, Social Innovation and Social Responsibility. The focus is on people, as they are the ones who must ultimately bring about the new building. We took the initiative to build this network for the province of South Holland and several partners have now joined. Take a look at the website www.thenewbuilders.nl.

We very deliberately chose a business partnership with Oxfam Novib. It helps people to become self-sufficient through microcredits. People from poor countries get credit facilities to set up their own business. They also receive training in entrepreneurial skills, marketing and product innovation. We believe that as entrepreneurs of today, we can help the entrepreneurs of tomorrow. That is why we support them wholeheartedly.
